Frequently Asked Questions

Can I access Uber/Lyft/Taxis? Do I need a car?

Rideshare services like Uber and Lyft don’t operate on the island and are unreliable across the Lowcountry, so we recommend arranging your own transportation in advance for any non-wedding related activities.

While we will provide transportation to and from the welcome dinner on Friday night as well as the wedding ceremony and reception on Saturday, you will need to have a personal or rental car to get around the island and for exploring the Lowcountry.

How will transportation work?

Shuttles will be provided for all guests to travel to and from the welcome dinner on Friday night and the wedding ceremony and reception on Saturday. Details on shuttle pick-up and drop-off will be provided when guests arrive.

Can I just drive to the welcome dinner, wedding ceremony, or wedding reception?

We kindly ask that you take the provided shuttles for your safety and convenience. Spring Island roads are dark, winding, and often frequented by wildlife. Additionally, there is a very limited parking at the venues. It is easy to get lost, but our shuttles are familiar with the area and will ensure you reach your destinations smoothly.

When should I arrive and leave?

Activities begin Friday evening and continue through the reception on Saturday night. Unless you would like to take some extra time to explore the area, we recommend a Friday through Sunday stay.

Are kids invited?

While we love your kids - we ask that any small children stay behind on this one.

What is Lowcountry Chic Attire?

Comfortable, but not informal. Think pants and collars, sun dresses or chic tops …. we only request you leave the sweatpants and overalls at home.

What is “black tie optional”?

Guests can choose between traditional black tie (tuxedo/gown) or formal wear (dark suit/long dress).

What shoes should the ladies wear?

Most events will be held outdoors and solid footing is not always guaranteed. We recommend you wear a chunky heel or wedge for more formal events.

Will I receive any more information about the wedding weekend?

We will be emailing a planning guide to our guests as the wedding date gets closer. This guide will help everyone plan and prepare for the entire weekend.

Where can I direct questions about the weekend?

You can send us an email anytime at kamrynandparker@gmail.com. Our planner, Emily DeLoach, is also available and can answer anything for you. She can be reached at emily@sincerelyyoursevents.com.
